Since Magic Lantern commenced in mid-2001, we've shown a variety of fine US contemporary and classic films as well as some of the finest offerings from abroad. These screenings are intended to offer an alternative to local commercial movie theaters and to add an additional cultural resource to Winchester's historic center. They would not be possible without the support and co-sponsorship of various local entities, often including provision of a venue for our ambulatory theater. Our primary partners are the Friends of Handley Regional Library, Veramar Vineyard, the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, Frederick County Parks & Recreation, the Unitarian-Universalist Church of the Shenandoah Valley, the Shenandoah Arts Council, the Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum and the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.
